Not only is it a great way to move your body, you’ll get to have some well-earned fun experiencing the holiday festivities.
Skate in one of London’s prettiest UNESCO sites at The Queen’s House in Greenwich Park, whizz around the rink with The Tower of London in the background, or take in the Georgian architecture at Somerset House.
You’ll feel like a kid again, I promise!
Take A Mindful Photo Walk
Mindful photo walks are a great tool for your well-being kit as they are an ideal way to relax.
London is one of the world’s best places to do photography and there’s something for everyone’s passion.
So, why not combine the experience of mindful walking with photography?
This is one of my favorite travel acvitivies (as you can probably tell from the many other posts about mindful photo walks). It makes a regular appearance on my self-care travel list!
There are so many hidden corners and off the beaten path places to explore. And lots of green spaces to get lost in your own little world.
My favorite green space for a Mindful Photo walk, Richmond Park!
Cycle The Thames
London’s public bicycle scheme is a fun & inexpensive way to travel around the city. There are more than 750 docking stations spread across the city, so you can go just about anywhere.
Transport for London’s (TFL) Thames Loop route will take you along the historic riverfront, which is ideal for its open views of the major sights.
If that’s not your speed, there’s also a Hyde Park Loop and a Royal Loop. Find the maps that also highlight key historic sights here.
Grab Breakfast at 26 Grains
There are many places to grab breakfast in the city, but you can’t beat 26 Grains for wholesome, nourishing, & yummy.
This Danish inspired eatery sits in the charming Neal’s Yard corner of Covent Garden (which is one of my favorite places to stay when I am in London).
There’s limited seating, so I always get their first thing.
Hands down, get the porridge! It’s a filling start to the morning, especially if you are going to do a lot of walking. Which in London, is always on the agenda!
