In today's fast-paced world, so many of us are looking for ways to slow down the pace, become less stressed and experience better well-being.

Surprisingly enough, a camera is an ideal tool to help us become more aware of our experiences.

For me, it has been an engaging way to get out of my daily routine and enjoy life. Over the years, I've come to really value my alone time wandering around & taking in the good.


Capturing a moment can be a powerful way to remember our experiences & reflect on our journey.

Mindful photography encourages us to be present in the now. Allowing us to be creative & explore our environment in a way that we might otherwise miss.


What is Mindful Photography?

At heart, mindful photography is the blending of photography & mindfulness. It's the quality of actively noticing things as you explore the world with the lens.

Mindful photography emphasizes the emotional, sensory, and present-moment experience of photography. Focusing on the connection between the photographer & the world around them.






Mindful photography highlights the process of creating the photo. Allowing you to cultivate creativity, satisfaction, & meaning. Think of it as taking time to align your eyes with your mind and heart to better appreciate the world around you.


With mindful photography, you use the camera as a tool to be present.

Mindful photography is an approach that is as much about the journey as the destination.

Mindfulness is the art of taking notice. It's an important part of self-care and there are many ways to bring it to our daily lives.

  • Start Small: Start with small moments and practice being mindful of your surroundings. Take notice of the details and take photos of the things that make you smile.

  • Slow Down: Take a slow breaths and tune into a slower pace.

  • Get creative: Use your intuition to explore your environment.  Experiment with different angles and perspectives, and use your creativity to capture the world.

  • Connect with your senses: Use your senses to observe and appreciate the beauty of your surroundings. Pay attention to the smells, sights, sounds, and feelings that you experience in the moment.
